Uttarakhand, IndiaJanuary 202612,500 ft (3,810 m)

About this trek

Kedarkantha is famous for its 360-degree Himalayan views, its pine forests and the frozen lake at Juda-ka-Talab. It is perhaps the most loved winter trek in the Indian Himalayas.

The 12,500 ft summit offers a panoramic view of the Garhwal Himalayas, featuring Swargarohini (I–IV), Bandarpoonch (I & II) and Black Peak (Kalanag). Other visible peaks include Ranglana and Draupadi ka Danda, and on clear days even the Yamunotri and Gangotri ranges.

A small note

This site is hand-tended. Books are still being read, songs are still being learned, and trails are still being walked. Come back any time — the kettle is always on.
